Efe Akdemir is a commercial and fashion film director based in Istanbul. Born in Cyprus in 1997, he studied Communication and Cinema at Eastern Mediterranean University, graduating as the valedictorian of his faculty.

He began directing at an early age, gaining international recognition with a short film supported by the European Union, which was selected for multiple festivals. This early experience shaped his visual language and laid the foundation for a cinematic approach that blends strong aesthetics with narrative clarity.

With a background in fashion and editorial filmmaking, he has developed a distinctive style that merges refined visual composition with emotionally driven storytelling. His work includes collaborations with leading international publications such as Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, and GQ.

He gained international attention with the BVLGARI x ELLE collaboration, where the digital cover featuring Serenay Sarıkaya was published across BVLGARI’s global platforms. He later directed a film for Cartier and a three-episode Pantene campaign (P&G / Leo Burnett Dubai), produced in Dubai with an international crew of nearly 150 people. The Pantene trilogy, shot in a single day, marked his transition into large-scale international commercial productions.

Following this, he directed a commercial film for Dove in the Middle East, further expanding his presence across global campaigns. He is currently represented by PTOT Film in Istanbul.

His work moves fluidly between editorial aesthetics and large-scale commercial storytelling, focusing on creating visually distinctive and emotionally engaging cinematic worlds.
